Computex 2017: Asus, HP and Lenovo to make PCs running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835

Qualcomm today announced at Computex 2017 that Asus, HP and Lenovo will be the first original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to build mobile PCs powered by the Snapdragon 835 mobile PC platform.

According to Qualcomm, each company will be working on its own slim and fanless PCs running on Windows 10 along with LTE connectivity for an always connected experience thanks to the X16 LTE modem. The 10 nm architecture of the Snapdragon 835 will also ensure efficient, all-day battery life.

With compatibility for the Windows 10 ecosystem, the Snapdragon Mobile PC Platform will enable Windows 10 hardware makers to develop next-generation modern device form factors and deliver unparalleled anything, anywhere creation experiences with up to Gigabit Class LTE connectivity,” said Cristiano Amon, executive vice president, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and president, QCT

Microsoft had announced support for ARM architecture and for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 last year in December.
