Reliance Digital will now be selling the Jio Phone officially available on Amazon India at Rs. 1,500/-. The Jio Phone now leads the feature phone segment with a whopping 27 percent market share, after dethroning Samsung to become the newest leader in the Indian feature phone market.

So the Jio Phone can now be bought offline from a Jio or Reliance Digital Store and from 3 places online Amazon India, Mobikwik and Jio.com.

Is The Refund Applicable To Online Purchase of Jio Phone?

Yes, for both, offline and online purchases, the security deposit of Rs. 1500/- is refundable after 36 months. So, you can head over to Amazon or Mobikwik and purchase the Jio Phone using the link and by paying the Rs. 1,500/- security deposit.

But after purchasing the Jio Phone handset online, you will need to visit the nearest Reliance Digital or Jio Store with the handset, original box and your Aadhaar number for activating the Jio Phone. You will be enrolled in the refund programme manually at the store.

Beware Of Third-Party Sellers

Earlier, multiple third-party sellers had listed Jio Phone online on several websites for a higher price. But that isn’t the case with the new official listing from Reliance Digital. It is advisable to check the seller before placing an order, as Reliance Jio itself is now officially selling the phone.

The Reliance Jio Phone was recently made available online on the Mobikwik application, and it became it first non-Jio platform to offer the feature phone. Now Amazon India has joined the list, and soon more portals like Flipkart and Paytm will follow.

Recharge Procedure For Jio Phone Purchased Online

After you purchase the Jio Phone online, you will need to visit the nearest Jio store for a new Jio SIM card and a suitable tariff plan. The Rs. 49/- plan offers unlimited calling with 1GB high-speed data (unlimited with reduced speed) for 28 days. The Rs. 153/- plan offers 1.5GB data per day with unlimited voice calls for 28 days.

Also, the official Facebook app has been made available on the Jio Phone.

Instant Cashback & Free Data With Redmi Note 5 & Note 5 Pro

The newly launched Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are the talk of the town. The much-awaited successor to Redmi Note 4 has arrived along with its big brother. Xiaomi has partnered with Jio to offer an instant cashback of Rs. 2,200/– and up to 4.5TB 4G data with the Note 5 series handsets.

Jio users will receive double data as a part of the offer. Users need to recharge with plans starting from Rs. 198/- and above, and do at least 3 consecutive recharges. The instant cashback will be credited directly to the user’s Jio account after the first recharge.

The cashback will be in the form of 44 vouchers worth Rs. 50/- each. These vouchers can be redeemed later against subsequent Jio recharges made on the MyJio app.

Redmi Note 5 & Note 5 Pro – Reduced Effective Prices

The Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs. 9,999/- for the 3GB RAM + 32GB Storage variant. After the Jio cashback, it will be available at an effective price of Rs. 7,799/-. The 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage variant which costs Rs. 11,999/- will be available at Rs. 9,799/- after the cashback.

The 4GB RAM variant of Redmi Note 5 Pro which is priced at Rs. 13,999/-, will be lowered to Rs 11,799/- on availing the Jio cashback offer. The 6GB RAM variant will effectively cost Rs. 14,799/-, down from Rs. 16,999/-. Both the variants offer 64GB storage.

The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro will go on sale on February 22, exclusively on Flipkart and mi.com with a wider offline release very soon!
